West Ham hope to finalise the signing of Frankfurt’s Sebastien Haller in the coming days according to a report in the Daily Mail

The West Ham only registered interest in Haller last Wednesday when they realised all hopes of signing Maxi Gomez were lost but talks have rapidly progressed and the striker is said to be willing to sign a four-year contract to move to East London.

The 25-year-old’s agent Loic Gustan from French agency 360 Management and Munich-based lawyer Christian Schmid led discussions and there is cautious confidence that West Ham’s search for a new front man could finally be sorted.  Super agent Kia Joorabchian is also thought to be acting as an intermediary.

Manuel Pellegrini and his first-team squad fly out to China today to face Manchester City in the Asia Trophy so it will be left to Mario Husillos and David Sullivan to carry on negotiations to reach an agreement with Frankfurt and personal terms with the player.
