Andre Schurrle could have his two-year loan to Fulham ended early and risks being sent back to Borussia Dortmund a year early according to the Sun newspaper. Fulham claims a clause in the German World Cup winner’s two-year loan deal enables them to cancel the agreement if relegated. The clause in Schurrle’s deal means the club could save around £2.5million in wages.

The 28-year-old left winger is reported to be of interest to Manual Pellegrini who is said to be considering taking over the final year of loan on the same terms according to the West Ham way podcast on Phoenix FM.

However, the winger did tweet recently that he wants interim boss and former Hammer Scott Parker to be given the manager’s job full time dropping a hint that he may be ready to stay put and help try to get Fulham back into the Premier League again. The challenge is whether Fulham can afford his £48,000 wages in the Championship and stay on the right side of Financial Fair Play.
