Report: Hammers enquire about Euro winner

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims the Hammers have made an enquiry about Domenico Berardi. The wide man was crucial in Italy’s Euro 2020 win, having starred for his club in 2020-21. Now, a move to Premier League is reported to be his next move and West Ham are said to be keen.

The 26-year-old remains at Sassuolo despite coming through the academy with the Serie A side. He has 291 appearances playing 30 of Sassuolo’s 38 league games last season scoring 17 goals and making eight assists.

Liverpool are also reportedly keen on the attacker with Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are among the contenders to sign the Sassuolo attacker this summer, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has already insisted that Italy star Domenico Berardi is not for sale amid interest from Premier League clubs.

Speaking earlier this month to Tuttosport, he said: “Berardi won’t be sold”
