Report: Hammers make contact for shock Moyes successor

A new report in France claims that West Ham have made contact with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino over a potential return to the Premier League.

The Argentine is out of work after leaving PSG at the end of last season, although he did win the league in France.

Jeunes Footeux reports that the Hammers are considering dispensing with Moyes’ services after a poor start to the season that has seen them drop into the relegation zone.

And that has led the French outlet to claim that the Hammers have been in touch with Pochettino to gauge his interest in a move.

Pochettino would demand guarantees for the winter window, which would hint at an expectation of big spending.

That is incredibly unlikely after the summer investment and we have also made it clear that there is no appetite, at present, to sack Moyes.

This one feels like it could be a case of 2+2=5.
