In fact the 23 year old has only played one full season of Championship at right back in a team that crashed out of the play offs at the final hurdle.
The Irons have been tracking the player since last summer when Forest were quoting prices of £20 million plus and although the City Ground management have dropped their asking price £15 million may be too much for an unproven player at PL level.
According to the Mirror, the Irons are not prepared to go higher than £10 million for the player who is a big favourite of the Forest fans.
The Mirror claims that £6 million of that fee would be paid up front, with a further £4 million likely to come through add-ons and bonuses.
However, first offers are always notoriously low and this is another saga which has some way to run notably as Leeds are reported to also have an interest.
