Report: Hammers up interest in Swedish centre-back

West  Ham have reportedly upped their interest in FC Rostov centre-back Dennis Hadžikadunić over  the past few days.

The 22-year-old, who came up through hometown academy Malmö FF, has piqued West Ham’s interest after a number of eye-catching displays during his short time in Russia.

He is claimed to be available for around five million Euros (£4.5m)

Though he’s represented Sweden at all youth levels, earlier this month Hadžikadunić chose to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the international level.

Born in Sweden, Hadžikadunić started his professional career at Malmö FF, who loaned him to Trelleborgs FF in 2018. Later that year, he moved to Rostov for £900,000.

Hadžikadunić signed a five-year contract with the Russian side making his competitive debut for the club against Dynamo Moscow on 10 November 2018 On 9 July 2020, he scored his first professional goal in a loss to Ufa and has made a total of 33 appearances for Rostov.
