West Ham are set for a late flurry of transfer activity, according to a new report from the Evening Standard.

The Hammers are close to completing the signing of Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea in a deal that could be worth up to £15m.

And there is also set to be a new bid tabled for Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken, who has already revealed that he wants to move to the London Stadium.

The first offer for the Brugge ace totalled £8m and was rejected by the Belgian club.

The Hammers have thus far signed Gianluca Scamacca, Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes, Maxwel Cornet, Thilo Kehrer and Alphonse Areola in this transfer window.

Boss David Moyes is keen to sign a new full-back, hence the Emerson bid, and wants to further strengthen his midfield.

There is also a desire to sign a central midfielder in the Declan Rice mould but time is running out.
