David Moyes is not set to pursue the signing of a new left-back before the end of the transfer window, according to a new report from The London Evening Standard.

The newspaper has run through the priorities that the Irons still have prior to next week’s deadline.

Moyes is said to be keen to sign both a centre-back and a striker, as we have consistently reported on the site.

And that means he has cast aside his early-window desire to bring a left-back into the club.

Moyes was said to be considering a potential move to provide backup and support to Aaron Cresswell but he is now set to press ahead with trying to strengthen at centre-back and up front.

Those are the two pressing needs, and it means that a deal for a left-back may well have to wait until the summer, around the time when Arthur Masuaku may be allowed to leave.
