According to a report from 90 Min, the Hammers have targeted Hatayspor hitman Aaron Boupendza as a potential target .

The Gabonese striker plays for Turkish outfit Hatayspor but this tends to feel like one of those  pieces of gossip on a slow day and we have learned to take Turkish transfer suggestions less than seriously.

The Irons are definitely in the market for a hitman but the number one striker remains Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong.

According to the new report, however, the Irons are watching Boupendza  although with the manager’s record of reaching into the Championship f Armstrong looks a far more likely target.

He is determined to bring in a front man as well as Jesse Lingard and will be hoping for an improvement of his last purchase up front.

That of course was Jordam Hugill who – having gained a move to tearaway Championship leaders Norwich City – has managed only four goals from 25 games as the Canaries have knocked up 53  to go 10 points clear at the top.

Boupendza meanwhile has scored 18 goals in 26 games in the Super Lig.
