Report: Playmaker offered to the Hammers

West Ham have been offered Christian Eriksen by Inter Milan according to a report from Sky Sports

Wolves and Ajax have also spoken to Christian Eriksen’s representatives but no formal bid has been submitted to Inter Milan;

Eriksen left Spurs last January to join the Serie A side but has made just five starts in all competitions this season, with Inter’s chief executive Giuseppe Marotta previously admitting the move has not worked out/.

As a result he Dane is all-but-certain to leave the club in January.

Sky in Italy reported on Monday night that Wolves and Ajax have spoken to Eriksen’s representatives but no formal bid has been submitted.

The same report confirms a ClaretandHugh article on Monday that the Hammers will not pursue Marko Arnautovic because of his high wage demands.

However, Eriksen is reported to earn £135,000 per week at Inter having dropped from £160,000 per week previously if reports are to be believed.

It would be strange for West Ham to break their pay structure to bring in yet another midfielder – however good he may be -when a striker is a top priority.
