Diafra Sakho has reportedly asked to leave the Irons following what the Mail calls “a revised offer from Sunderland.” The report claims Sak and Slaven Bilic have met and the striker has revealed he sees his future away from the club.

Sunderland have made a revised offer of around £12m for Sakho with manager Sam Allardyce being reported as keen to get a deal done quickly.

However, the Hammers have already told ClaretandHugh that the original bid for the striker was nowhere near the £11m reported earlier and contained clauses which would have seen the striker having to play 30 games a season minimum for them to get the figure.

They value Sakho at a minimum of £15m anyway so it seems there may be a long way to go on these negotiations whether Sakho wants a move or not.

A source told us this afternoon: “The situation is as it always has been – no players will be leaving this club until we have better players to replace them.”
