West Ham are being linked with Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst this summer, according to The Athletic.

Wolfsburg are ready to sell Weghorst who they value at £26million and are expecting offers this summer

Wehghorst finished last season with 20 league goals and eight assists in 34 Bundesliga games, helping Wolfsburg finish fourth in the table.

Jose Mourinho was keen on him while at Spurs suggesting he would be perfect for the Premier League.

David Moyes has ben linked with over 30 names in the striker since May so it difficult to understand where Weghorst might rate in the target list.

Born in Holland Weghorst started his career with local clubs RKSV NEO and DETO Twenterand, before evoking interest from Eredivisie team Willem II then Heracles. After the successful season with Heracles, Weghorst signed a four-year contract with AZ in July 2016, with the option for an extra year.

In 2018 Weghorst signed a four-year contract with Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg.
