Widespread reports are spreading this afternoon that Winston Reid could emerge as a Manchester United target.
Several media outlets are claiming that Luis Van Gaal is keen on the Irons central defender who is in the last year of his current contract.
There has – as we have regularly made clear here – that he is keeping his options wide open until the latest possible moment to study any offers and his possible free transfer options next summer.
But in the meantime LVG is now being linked with the New Zealander given his well known central defensive problems.
A Hammers source told us: “The club is as much in the dark as everybody erlse. There hasn’t been a word from the Reid camp for several weeks and it could be that will remain the case until December!”
