Hammer Declan Rice has broken silence on his knee injury he sustained during England’s world cup qualifier with Poland on Wednesday night.

The news broke earlier today that he could be out between five and six weeks with a  knee injury.

A scan on Thursday revealed no tearing but he will need complete rest and is wearing a protective brace on his right knee.

Sportbible posted his knee problem adding it is a huge blow for West Ham and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Declan took to social media himself to reply saying “I’ll be back soon don’t worry, thank you for your support!”

Rice could get a return for the last three games of the season which are just over five weeks from today.

The Hammers play Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday 11th May and he could well be targeting that game if his recovery goes to plan.

West Ham then plays West Brom Albion on 15th May and Southampton on Sunday 23rd May to complete their season.
