Rice told the Daily Mirror: “I signed a five year contract with West Ham last year, which will keep me at club till I’m 24, and for me this is the best place to be right now. I am playing for a manager who has given me my chance and played me week in week out.
“I’m improving every week and although I see all this speculation, I don’t really think about it too much.
“It’s all talk until something happens – and nothing has – so I’m just focussed on West Ham, doing my best and making fans happy.”
Well said Declan! We know Manchester United need a distraction from the car crash of a season they are having so far but whether manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær will still be in charge in January is the question. I am not sure we may any attention to Manchester United stories in their current situation. As Dec says it’s all talk until someone makes a formal inquiry or bid. We all understand the likelihood of Declan Rice staying a Hammer throughout his best years to come are slim but we are not quite ready to lose him this winter unless someone wants to overpay over £100m for his services.
