It’s quite an extraordinaruy comparison to make given the difference in their values which of course makes it all the more fascinating.

I was surfing across various sites on a quiet Sunday afternoon when this little feature drifted into view.

It provided yesterday stats on the pair but omitted one two very important figures – their prices.

So before looking at the remainder of the performance figure let’s rememberthat Sakho cost West Ham £3.5 million and Falcao £24 million for a year’s loan.

Remember too the Manchester United man is still to get off the mark for his loan club whilst Sakho has scored four for the Irons!

The Colombian set up van Persie for what proved to be the crucial second goal but our man had twice as many goal-scoring attempts as the United star and double the amount on target.

Sakho also played two more forward passes than Falcao, but the United player did have a considerably better passing accuracy – 78 per cent to Sakho’s 62 per cent.
