Chairman’s son Jack Sullivan speaking on a transfer deadline special radio show on Phoenix FM confirmed Sakho would be staying a Hammer and would work hard to prove West Brom wrong.
Earlier tonight Head of Sport at the Daily Mail Lee Clayton tweeted: “West Brom and Sakho *could* be back on #WHUFC , although the person who told also said ‘if’ six times after that. It’s an ‘if’ story.”
Sakho came very close to joining West Bromwich Albion last month with a £16 million fee agreed by both clubs and personal terms agreed. The transfer fell through after detailed medical checks revealed the true extent of a pre-existing back injury and his match fitness levels. Sakho should be match fit enough to return to action in mid September.
