Gianluca Scamacca has made it crystal clear where his future lies and it will be at West Ham United.

For weeks there has been constant rumours circulating that he is unhappy, his body language hasn’t been great and that his injury prone season apart, a move could be on the cards.

He returned for the Thursday Conference game and looked far better than previously against the Cypriots, scoring a goal and looking alert and bright.

His link up play looked far better than in the past at times and generally looked a better bet than new signings Danny Ings, as he should given his age, price and international status.

It would have been good for him to have had a sterner test against Manchester City yesterday or today but with the ganme cancelled he will now have to wait until after the international break for the opportunity to get on the team sheet from the start again.

But speaking to www.whufc.com he made it clear he was happy with life saying: “Injuries can happen because every season is different and this league is different from where I have come.

“It was unlucky, but now it’s good and we’ll keep going. I feel good, I’m happy to be here and play for this club and live in London, so everything is good.”
