The news that West Ham have increased capacity has also bought fresh news that new Hammers season ticket holders at the Olympic Stadium will need to commit for two season rather than one.

The 6,000 additional seats will soon go on sale from the 4th April at the Stratford reservation centre but with those lucky enough to be chosen from the remaining 40,000 priority list will need to commit for two years at £289 per season for a band 5 ticket.

The two year commitment does not affect the 40,000+ of those who have already chosen their seats for the Olympic Stadium.

It is not clear whether the £578 will need to be paid  completely up front but the club do confirm finance options are available.  Over 34,000 supporters are likely to be disappointed but they will form one of the largest season ticket waiting list in the Premier League.
