Selection questions over Marko/Chicharito

Manuel Pellegrini’s team selection will be eyed with huge interest by Hammers fans this weekend with so much transfer window speculation circulating around two of the club’s strikers.

The cynics among us will be looking at his squad and eventual starting 11 for Bournemouth with great interest given the circumstances surrounding Marko Arnautovic and Chicharito.

Both have been in full training this week  with one apparently on his way to China and the other possibly to Valencia so given the circumstances their inclusion is no given.

Sadly one of the realities of footballing life are that when players are lined up for possible moves, managers are sometimes reluctant – along with the players  – to include them and run the risk of injuries.

Marko’s agent Danijel Arnautovic claimed in his statement, when announcing the Chinese interest, that his brother is a professional who will give his all for the club ahead of any move so we await the squad with interest unless of course a deal is done before the match.

Chicharito’s move seems less certain with the Spanish outfit wanting a loan deal whilst the Hammers insist any move must be permanent.
