Self evident Irons explanation of no value

Sadly once again the Hammers media department has chosen to trot out a player to tell us that Saturday’s defeat at AFC Wimbledon “wasn’t good enough.”

Well, well, well, good spot that!

Mark Noble is the unfortunate individual to be chosen for this exercise in the self evident when perhaps the best thing  those in charge of such decisions should have done was to stay entirely schtuum 24 hours ahead of a another game.

The captain giving an explanation that the team keeps shooting itself in the foot and actually declaring “that wasn’t good enough” begs just one question from those reading it: “Why …why are you bothering to tell us this ?”

I feel really sorry for the captain that he was asked to do this piece because there is nothing of any real value that he can say. It should never have happened but for the record among the things he said were:

O “I said numerous times that when you turn up at a place like this you’re going to have to fight before you can try and play and do the nice stuff, but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

O “We keep getting good results, and then go away to Burnley, go away to Bournemouth and not pick up the results we need to, or show the teams as much respect as we should .

O “Obviously we’ve got to put this behind us now and concentrate on the league.

O Saturday wasn’t good enough. Everyone knows that and we’ve got to put it behind us.”

SIGH!!!!
