Sheri latest name in the coaching frame

Teddy Sheringham is being reported as a contender for the newly created role of attacking coach at the Boleyn.

Sam Allardyce has been told to produce a more attacking brand if he wants to remain as manager and the appointment has been made official and essential.

The Mail claims to understand that Sheringham, 48, who spent three years at Upton Park towards the end of his career, has been approached about the position.

After 288 goals in 755 league appearances, Sheringhamhung up his boots  in 2008 following a spell at Colchester United.

But he has been studying for his coaching badges since then and is now ready to take a job in coaching.
