Shock name could enter Irons managerial frame

Amid all the cries for a managerial replacement very few names have been mentioned as possible candidates.

It’s always the same!

Shouting for someone to be sacked is as simple as shouting at your eight year old to go to bed and shut up – finding an alternative is difficult.

Truth is the names available at the moment are pretty limited and not incredibly attractive although £15 million a year Jose Mourinho would probably be the popular choice.

Not gonna happen of course because he tends to gravitate towards big clubs where he can spend millions, throw a moody ans get the sack with a huge pay off.

Eddie Howe? Been mentioned since before Slaven Bilic but seemingly entirely content to remain on his favoured south coast with Bournemouth.

He’s be ideal as he knows how to work within a sensible budget but he has shown no interest or desire to leave The Cherries.

Rafa Benitez’s West Ham future is well behind him, now ensconced in China presumably earning a small fortune. Think we can forget that one.

Steven Gerrard: Young, hungry, a winner but it’s a hell of a jump from the Scottish Premier League to the Premier League. Decent shout but perhaps too early.

Lee Bowyer: Did great to get Charlton out of League One but Premier League is looking more tan he can bite off at the moment – again too early but one day perhaps.

Chris Wilder: Doing a great job at Sheffield United but it’s early days and  we would probably need to wait and see whether this early season form is genuine or a bit of a blip.

David Moyes: Think all bridges have been burned.

Gareth Southgate: Could be the one with his contract coming to an end with England next year. He’s done a terrific job and there will be a few clubs looking but whether he wants to continue with the Three Lions is the unanswered question.
