Sinclair to return to Boleyn Ground farewell

Former Hammer Trevor Sinclair has become the latest player to confirm he has accepted an invitation from Mark Noble to play in his testimonial.

Speaking via twitter Trevor said “Delighted to get the nod from Mark Noble for his testimonial. Buzzing to be playing at Upton Park & the top fans 1 last time

The 42 year old joined the Hammers for £2.7m in January 1998 making 177 appearances and scoring 37 goals before leaving in 2003 after West Ham were relegated. The Hammers accepted a £3.3m bid for the player from Manchester City.

The long-serving club captain will be honoured with a match between the current West Ham first team against a West Ham United All-Stars squad, with all funds raised being donated to charity.

The fixture will take place at the Boleyn Ground on Easter Monday 28th March 2016 at 2pm.
