LONDON, ENGLAND – AUGUST 27: Ashley Fletcher of West Ham United cannot believe he has not won his team a penalty during the UEFA Europa Play-Off Second leg match between West Ham United and FC Astra Giurgiu at London Stadium on August 25, 2016 in London, England. Slaven Bilic will wait until the lst minute before deciding his striker option for the match at Selhurst Park this weekend.

The club are clearly monitoring the number of appearances Simone Zaza makes as  he heads towards the widely reported number of 14 which it has been reported is when the £20 million permanent deal has to be triggered.

It is hoped that Andy Carroll will make the squad as he is now back in full training but Diafra Sakho’s chances are around 50/50.

And that could mean that Jonathon Calleri or Ashley Fletcher will get the chance to make an impact as the team looked for a previous point or three.

Calleri hasn’t appeared this season and is desperate for a start declaring: ” “The style of play here is very different and it can take a few months to settle in.

“I am finding it a bit difficult in terms of the language and the style of play at the moment. But I am hoping that I can leave my mark on the club.”

Fletcher, meanwhile, has looked promising and could be in the frame for a start as Bilic ponders his limited up front options.
