The thrilled manager said: “After the first 2o minutes we made it look easy but it wasn’t. Blackburn are a big club and a good team but our performance was very special.
“The team created the space between the lines for Payet and Lanzini to turn and face the defence and cause all the problems and of course they will grab the headlines. But it’s all about the team – they were fantastic.”
Meanwhile Emanuelle Emenke – who grabbed a couple said: “I thank God for the goals, the players and the way they have welcomed me and the management.
“It was a very open game and it was great to see five goals. I am very happy with my goals and for the team.”
