Wrong chocolate

Slaven Bilic has declared himself “hopeful” Andy Carroll will be fit for the Chelsea clash but will go no further than that.

It really is a case of sweating it out over the next eight days as we prepare to meet the League leaders at the London Stadium.

With Michail Antonio definitely ruled out through suspension, AC’s involvement is seriously needed looking for revenge after the EFL Cup defeat.

But with David Gold revealing the club is having a problem getting to the problem and no certainties coming from the manager there are some concerns as we face such powerful opposition.

Assessing the situation Slaven declared: “The guys from the medical department have told me he’s going to start training Tuesday or Wednesday.

“He ran on Friday and Saturday morning with no negative reaction. Me and my medical department are fighting.

They say Wednesday, I say Tuesday. Then hopefully four or five days of training, that is always enough for Andy to shine in the next game. So hopefully he is going to be able to play against Chelsea.”
