Former Hammer Robert Snodgrass could come back to haunt West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.

Declan Rice and John Terry were amongst those to reply to Robert Snodgrass’ Instagram as he helped West Brom to a win on his man of the match debut for the west midlands club.

Sam Allardyce’s secured a win for the Baggies as they came from 2-1 down to beat Wolves 3-2 at Molineux on Saturday.

And Snodgrass was one of those to produce a great performance in the win. He won two aerial duels, made four successful tackles with no player on the pitch matching him.

West Brom Offical Twitter account paid tribute to the 33-yar-old by calling him  Robert SnodCLASS. What a performance from the debutant Robert Snodgrass”

Post-match Snoddy said “It’s a special day. I wish the fans had been there but they’ll enjoy this one I’m sure.”

Sam Allardyce said he had experience and leadership qualities which can prove vital for West Brom in the coming months.

“I hope he’s like Gary Speed for me at Bolton,” said Allardyce, who signed the then 34-year-old Speed from Newcastle in 2004.

It looks like Snodgrass is likely to line up against the Hammers on Tuesday night under the London Stadium lights and it’s a great shame there won’t be any fans there to give him the welcome back he deserves.

An even bigger shame that he has been unable to say farewell to the Hammers fans after a distinguished spell with the Hammers.
