Snodgrass tribute to Irons fans and players

Robert Snodgrass has waved farewell to the Hammers fans sounding like a man who will not be back at the end of his year’s loan.

The Scot moved to Aston Villa today where he will be reunited with his former Hull City boss Steve Bruce after failing to make any sort  of impact at the Hammers.

But he is clearly holding no grudges as he moves off to the midlands and life in the Championship.

Snodgrass – an infrequent visitor to Twitter – appeared to say goodbye to the supporters and the players after his ill-fated spell at the club.

He said: “All the best to @WestHamUtd for the season ahead. Terrific set of fans and great bunch of lads.”
