Soucek and Hammers look set for agreement
The Slavia Prague player agreed a deal with the club that should they remain in the premier League he would sign permanently but ahead of that he needs to sign a deal which takes him to the end of the campaign.
His initial contract was of course until the expected end of the season in May but the club are in ongoing talks to ensure that he’s available over the the resumption period.
The midfielder has been impressive in his four games for the club and looks nailed on to be in the starting line-up for the clash with Wolves.
The Irons showed greatly improved form over the games in which he and Bowen featured and he is expected to put pen to paper on the extension over the next few days.
However, there are discussions ongoing to allow footballers in this situation to stay for longer if needed, as the season is only getting back underway on June 17, per The Telegraph.
A CandH source said on e mail: “It should all be signed over the next few days. He loves West Ham and is keen to play a part in keeping us up.”
