Tomas Soucek looks set to stay at West Ham this season, as no clubs are currently willing to move for him.

We have reported extensively on the Soucek situation and there was a feeling at the start of the transfer window that he was likely to leave.

A number of clubs have expressed interest privately, but a source close to the player has told ClaretandHugh that there is no live interest in signing the player.

It means Soucek is set to remain at West Ham for another season at least.

The Irons have always maintained that they would be more than happy to keep the Czech Republic international at the club, and that only a big bid would sway that mentality.

With no offers seemingly lined up, the Irons are set to plan for the new season with their first-choice midfield duo of Soucek and Declan Rice intact.

Next summer, of course, may well be different, because Soucek will enter the final year of his contract.
