Italian media claim that Genoa star Diego Laxalt could move to West Ham this summer. The Uruguayan has long linked with a move to the Premier League and reports claim he is interested in joining the Hammers after they scouted him.

TuttoMercatoWeb claim Genoa are willing to sell Laxalt in the Summer after turning down offers in January. The Serie A side will look for offers in the region of €12m. Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester City  in addition to the Hammers are all said to be tracking the player and remain interested in a possible deal for the 24-year-old.

Back in 2013, when Laxalt made a move to Inter, he compared himself to former Spurs player Edgar Davids. He told Football Italia that he liked to do both the attacking and defensive work for his team:

“I don’t know why, we play in two completely different roles. I like the defensive and offensive phase, I run a lot and I always give my all. I think I’m a bit similar to Edgar Davids.”
