West Ham insiders have refuted a report that Jordon Hugill is set to be sold in the January transfer window.

A report by Football Insider said West Ham are ready to sell Jordan Hugill in January despite his blitz of loan goals this season.

And he even denied earlier reports that the Championship outfit had an option to buy whether or not they are promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season

Speaking exclusively to Claret and Hugh by email he said a bid in January was extremely unlikely due to the strikers expensive £32,000 per week wages saying they were a major factor in his valuation.

However, the club source believea – as is always the case – admitted a bid may happen if Hugill continued his current scoring form in the second-tier league.

Hugill who reportedly cost the Hammers £9.1m in January 2018 could be sold in the summer for a knockdown fee despite his recent form. A £4m deal for a move to Wigan for £4m collapsed in the summer after the player failed to agree on personal terms. Wages will be the key in any summer move for the 27-year-old forward.
