Strong Hammers team against The Daggers

West Ham United’s are back for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly at nearby Dagenham and Redbridge.

The Hammers included were involved in June’s international window and returned to Rush Green at the start of the  week and up their preparations for the new campaign .

Alphonse Areola starts in goal, with an experienced trio of Vladimír Coufal, Nayef Aguerd and Thilo Kehrer being complemented by youngster Ollie Scarles (above) who looks a truly promising prospect .

Tomáš Souček provides the senior experience in midfield, where he will be flanked by Ollie Scarles and Kamarai Swyer, who was involved during the Irons’ tour of Australia.

In attack, Maxwel Cornet and Saïd Benrahma will join Northern Ireland youngster Callum Marshall, who notched 30 goals across our Academy teams last season.

Paquetá is back in training, but not involved today as he only returned on Thursday, while Michail Antonio and Ben Johnson are on their summer holidays.
