David Sullivan has tipped Arthus Masuaku and Edmilson Fernandez to come good this season.

And he has admitted that he has been under intense pressure to get the transfer window right this summer after last year’s horror show.

He admitted: “Yes there was a lot of pressure but in Masuaku and Fernandez who cost around £5 million each we have two players who I really think will come good this season.”

Speaking to talkSPORT the co chairman confirmed CandH’s story from earlier today that Diafra Sakho is looking in top shape this summer.

He said: “Mr Sakho is looking very good and that would make a huge difference to our season but we need luck with injuries.

“In Hernandez I think we have signed the best striker in our time at the club and indeed in modern West Ham times.. On top of that he’s a lovely lovely person.

“We were lucky he only had a year left on his deal. We tried hard for him two years ago and this year it’s been going on all summer. We’re delighted to have got him.”
