Summer window brings new Irons boardroom reality

There’s nothing like the summer window to start winding fans up and we can expect much the same this time around.

It’s clear David Moyes has plenty of work in front of him and has already taken plenty of stick for his refusal to bring anybody in the winter.

Those he has earlier – Nikola Vlasic at 27 million and loanee Alex Kral –  have proved poor so far but in fairness Craig Dawson at £3 million was a masterstroke and Kurt Zouma was a very good buy.

What’s clear is that the manager now has his hands firmly on who is and isn’t signed and the days of GSB control are now behind us with the arrival of Daniel Kretinsky. The GSB out days are history!

No doubt there are those who would  want to maintain their moan ups against the old regime but the reality now is that with nobody having 51 per cent of the shares all decisions will be voted on.

And remembering that Kretinsky is the director who could be advancing loans to the club is he likely to do that if he doesn’t fancy a particular player.

Old prejudices are now firmly outdated and with the club under a new regime we are looking at a more stable club with Europe on its mind.

A good old moan up I suppose is always enjoyable however pointless!
