Supporters back Pellegrini in vote of confidence

A Claret and Hugh poll of nearly 1,300 readers has given a huge vote of confidence in Manuel Pellegrini.

The poll asked who should manage West Ham going forward with a list of twenty names including the current manager.

The 66-year-old Chilean manager picked up over 26% of the vote to get the largest percentage of any name listed.

Bournemouth’s manager Eddie Howe was in second place with 23% with the freshly sacked Mauricio Pochettino with nearly 21% of those who voted.

Former Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez polled nearly 10% with Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard polling 3%.

All other manager names polled less than 3% each with former West Ham manager Sam Allardyce  in last place polling just over 1% of the vote
