Eight in ten West Ham supporters believe Karren Brady should give up her Sun football column as it is a conflict of interest. Results of a Claret and Hugh poll show almost 80% of those who voted believe she should ditch her tabloid football diary immediately.

Last year Supporters of around 70 English football clubs vowed to boycott The Sun over its coverage of the Hillsborough disaster. A motion passed unanimously by fans at the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) annual summit in 2017 called on supporters to urge their clubs and retailers in their local area to stop selling the paper.

The Hammers Vice Chairman is thought to receive up to £5,000 per column netting her up to £200,000 per year.  She is thought to earn similar amounts for both her Chairmanship of Taveta which owns Phillip Green’s Arcadia retail business and her TV role as Sir Alan Sugar’s advisor on BBC Apprentice. The Baroness is paid  £868,000 per annum for her role at West Ham.
