Seven players which cost West Ham £116m were left on the bench yesterday evening with the starting eleven costing £115m to assemeble
Fabianski £7m Fredericks Free Diop £22.5m Ogbonna £10m Cresswell £4.5m Masuaku £6m Bowen £22.5m Soucek £15m Rice Free Fornals £25m Antonio £7m cost a total of £115m to acquire
The seven substitutes left on the bench at kick-off were Balbuena £4m Yarmolenko £17.5m Felipe Anderson £34m Lanzini £11m Haller £45m Johnson Free and Randolph £4,5m and cost £116m to acquire.
That said, the starting X1 and formation seemed to work for David Moyes yesterday and it hard to argue that he didn’t start the best team available to him.
Nearly £100m of the talent in the form of Sebastian Haller, Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson came on in the dying minutes of the game which ended in a 2-1 defeat but they were little effect although to be fair they had little time to be able to change things around.
