West Ham’s Managing Director, Angus Kinnear left his role at the Irons today to take up a similar role at Leeds as their new managing director starting from tomorrow.

The move comes as part of Andrea Radrizzani’s takeover of the Championship club. “Angus has an excellent track record at Arsenal and West Ham and I am sure he will contribute a great deal to the club,” Radrizzani told the Official Leeds Website.

Kinnear was with the Hammers for three years overseeing the move to the London Stadium and spent the previous decade at Arsenal as their director of marketing, sales and partnerships overseeing some elements of the move from Highbury to the Emirates.

Kinnear wide reaching remit at Leeds will most likely use his connections at West Ham to help bring some of the most promising talent from the Hammers Academy to Leeds on loan as they push for Premier League promotion next season.

The new connection between the new clubs might work both ways with the possibility that West Ham could make a bid for Leeds Starman Chris Woods. The 25-year-old scored 30 goals in the Championship last season, making him the league’s top scorer, and his form is said to have interested the Hammers.
