The return of Sakho

Diafra Sakho is fully expected to rejoin the first team squad within the next fortnight and could be on the bench for the match  at Hull City on April 1.

‘Sak’ has been making great progress in his rehab programme and hopes are now high the striker could even rejoin the first team squad within 10 days.

The club is now entirely confident that much required surgery has got to the bottom of his problems and that he will play a big part in the last eight games of the season.

We were told: “If truth be told the surgery should have been carried out when he was injured originally but he was keen to recover without the need for a spell in hospital.

However, now it’s finally been done he feels so much better and when he returns it will be like signing a new player. He’s running, looking strong and can’t wait to rejoin the first team squad.”
