Simone Zaza is closing in on a move to Valencia that could see him join the Spanish club permanently in the summer say the London Evening Standard. The structure of the deal is similar to West Ham’s deal with Valencia agreeing to buy Zaza in the summer for £16million providing he plays 10 games for the club during his loan period and they avoid relegation. Valencia will pay a £2m loan fee.

But with Zaza’s loan at West Ham still needs to be cancelled and all financial agreements resolved first.

The 25-year-old’s father – who is also his agent  has scoffed media reports and warned that a deal with Valencia is not close.

You’ve no idea how many aspects still need to be worked out,” Antonio Zaza told Juvenews.eu.

“It’s not an issue of the Valencia project being convincing, it’s that there are so many details that still have to be written down – pen on paper. There’s no point talking about it now. There’s a long way to go yet, it’s definitely not close to completion.”
