Queens Park Rangers defender Danny Simpson was at Manchester United at the same time as Ravel Morrison.

And this weekend they are back on the same side at Queens Park Rangers as Harry Redknapp’s outfit aim to make it back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Nether Rav or Simpson made it big at Old Trafford with the right back moving on and Rav arriving at the Boleyn after Sir Alex Ferguson lost patience with his indiscipline off the field.

Sadly, after a great start to this season, Rav fell out of favour with Sam Allardyce and was finally shipped out to the west London outfit on loan where he has made a huge impact.

Full-back Simpson revealed: “I’ve known Ravel since he was young and obviously we’ve both gone our own ways, but since he’s come here I’ve noticed a big change in him.

“He’s growing up, maturing and starting to realise the potential he has got. He’s one of the best young players I have seen with the ball at his feet.

“Everyone knows his ability but I think he has surprised a few people with his character and his attitude. Maybe it was good for him to move away to different clubs.

“He’s looking forward to the final, it’s a big occasion for him.”
