By Hammers legend Ray Stewart on the win over Leicester

Great win – brilliant!

And let’s get something straight. I don’t care if we win 7-6, 5-4, 3-2 or 10-9 just so long as we win – end of story.

Yes there are moans and groans about conceding goals and keeping us on the edge of our seats but this is a team with an injury to it’s best player in Declan and defender in Oggy and today of course Mikey.

So to go three up against a very good team was a superb performance and although everybody will be fed up they got two back let’s concentrate instead on the three points.

Oh and by the way as a reminder, that’s twice we’ve beaten them and put a total of six goals past them.

We were pretty special for a long time again today and there were so many man of the match candidates: Fabianski, Coufal, Noble, Lingard and Bowen.

All of them – along with the rest of the boys – did so well but I have to give it to Nobes who put not a foot wrong and led as a captain should – he was great.

I’ve been saying for some time that players can play in different position so long as you don’t ask them to do it game in game out.

Having said that, Bowen was fabulous today and looks as though he can take on the striker role for a while to come.

Where are we gonna finish? I’ve said since the season started  the top seven would be remarkable.

But Europe now looks a distinct possibility. Whether that’s a great thing I doubt given the pressure it will put on the squad and the club’s purse strings for players.

We all want to support our team in the Europa League or preferably the Champions League but we will really need to strengthen

And at this time with money so short everywhere it could all become a bit dodgy.
