Fulham captain Tom Cairney has reportedly had his head turned by interest from West Ham claim sources close to Fulham who expect him to leave before the transfer deadline.

Independent journalist Charlie Jones claims the Fulham captain is set to leave the Whites during the January transfer window saying a £15 million bid was rejected earlier this week by The Cottagers however a revised bid including add-ons is thought to have been accepted.

Fulham have seemingly already set their targets on Cairney’s replacement with Jones saying Fulham have made contact with Rubin Kazan over the transfer of Ex Blackburn Rovers midfielder Ruben Rochina. It is thought that Rochina would be a direct replacement for the departing captain adopting the same attacking midfield role.

Cairney’s girlfriend Abbie Richards has added more fuel to rumours by posting a Sky Sports story about his boyfriend moving to West Ham.  She posted a screenshot on Instagram talking about her stress levels over the latest rumours.

Cairney himself started following West Ham Captain Mark Noble on twitter just to stoke the rumours a little further while he posted a photo of himself playing pool as Fulham played without him as they travel to Barnsley.

So far Fulham is refusing to sell their star man as Cairney signed a contract extension just last summer until 2021.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic angrily told reporters “I’m not talking about rumours. I know Tom Cairney is happy here, that’s it, that’s the only comment I can make.”
