The Football Association is discussing proposals to move the summer transfer window.

The window in England was scheduled to open on June 18th but that is not expected to go ahead and is expected to open 24 hours after the Premier League finished on 27th July.

Some European leagues, such as Serie A, have already finalised their window, with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) setting the dates between September 1st to 5th October.

FIFA are set to provide guidance on the parameters between which new windows can be set, and it will then be down to individual football associations to finalise specific dates.

The FA is also consulting with other associations across Europe and there is said to be some consensus over a deadline of Friday, October 2nd.

The Premier League and EFL are yet to discuss the transfer window or formally vote on it but the decision would require the approval of 14 votes in the Premier LEague and a simple majority in the Championship and Leagues one and two.
