Transfer window decision pending at club

West Ham will continue to back the managerial duo but given the iffy summer transfers will be forced into some critical decisions ahead of the winter transfer window.

With that just a couple of months away and presumably targets being identified there’s a matter of trust in the Director of Football Mario Husillos’ judgement after the arrivals of Pablo Fornals and Roberto.

Not to put to fine a point on it both have been absolute flops at a collective fee of around £30 million and that ensures the rumours of a sacking for the director of football refuse to go away.

Were it to happen this would be his second dismissal in two years having been fired from Malaga after the team was relegated in 2018.

Whilst the manager makes the decisions on player targets we understand that although the director of football’s job is somewhat vague, he does have the power of veto.

Whether that has happened along the line at West Ham is unclear but it’s probably fair to say that in the meantime decisions are pending!
