Uefa have charged West Ham who are set to be punished after the behaviour of a small element of their fans at the Conference Final victory over Fiorentina.

Fiorentina’s Cristiano Biraghi  suffered a cut on his head after being hit by a container hurled onto the pitch by our so called fans – more accurately known as morons.

The game was stopped for several minutes as medics attended to the gash on his head and swathed it in bandages.

Declan Rice was the first to offer Biraghi an apology as the Hammers players then went to the troublesome fans asking them to behave themselves.

And the club later issues a statement promising action would be taken against anyone found to have committed an offence and ban them from attending matches at the London Stadium.
It went on to say the club would work with the police and other stakeholders to review the incidents and act against anyone found guilty of an offence.

The body is empowered to ban West Ham from its matches, or order them to play ties in next year’s Europa league in an empty stadium.

But a fine will be considered and is the most likely punishment once the referees report has been examined and evaluated.
