Manu Lanzini is this morning being reported as a  target for champions Chelsea.

According the The Sun the Blues’ technical director Michael Emenalo is an admirer of our playmaker.

Lanzini,24, may be seen as an option should Cesc Fabregas leave to join AC Milan, and has also been linked with a move to Everton.

However, the Hammers remain unfazed by all speculation and have made it clear there is absolutely no chance of the player being sold with a top source telling ClaretandHugh: “That’s simply not going to happen.

“We have become used to this sort of speculation. He is on a long contract and we have no intention of entertaining any bids from anywhere.”

And Lanzini himself added on the club’s website before the last game of the season: “I am thinking of the next game, then thinking of having good holidays with the family. I am very happy here.”

He had been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool at the time and the new story seems to suggest that somebody somewhere is pulling another name out of the hat as the silly season approaches.

Lanzini had added: The season was good for me on a personal level, at the beginning it was not great [as I suffered an injury on international duty in pre-season], but then I could achieve a good level.

“Dimi is a great player, he left and it was not a good news for the squad but luckily at the end I had a very good season.
