Unofficial Seat Swap Scheme launched

One enterprising Hammers fan has developed and launched a new website to swap season tickets seats the London Stadium. The West Ham United Unofficial Season Ticket Seat Exchange allows season ticket holders to register and unofficially swap seats if they prefer to sit rather than stand or Vice versa.

The website says “This website was set up in response to issues many West Ham United Season Ticket Holders have experienced since we moved to the Olympic Stadium in August 2016.Want to stand but everyone around is sat down? Can’t see because everyone around you in front insists on standing?
List your seats on this site, and we will help match you with someone to swap with.”

This website lets you do three main things: List your seat, Find seats listed by others, Contact another user to propose a seat swap.

What this site does not do is give you permission on behalf of West Ham United Football Club to actually swap seats. This is an unofficial tool, that simply puts you in touch with people who would like to swap seats. All users of this site should remember the following condition of your ticket as laid out by the club:

“If the ticket is resold or transferred without the prior written consent of West Ham United Football Club or any one of its authorised sub-agents, it will become void and the holder will be refused entry to or ejected from the Stadium.”

It is suggested that, once a proposed swap is agreed, both parties contact the club and have the swap agreed officially. This website cannot be held responsible for anyone losing their ticket as a result of swapping with someone else.

Sixty eight season ticket holders have already registered and the website suggests that eight supporters have already agreed to swap seats.
